Incident Summary
In a kidnapping incident that occurred on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, armed elements belonging to the “Al-Amshat” faction (Sultan Suleiman Shah Division) kidnapped a Kurdish youth from the residents of Afrin countryside in the New Syriani neighborhood of Aleppo city. The operation took place at a checkpoint belonging to the faction after pictures of Kurdish symbols were found on his cell phone. He was taken to their headquarters in the neighborhood, and his fate remains unknown to this day.
