Killing of three people from the Alawite sect in two separate incidents in the countryside of Hama – 25 and 26 November 2025

Killing of Wasil al-Mohammad and his son in the town of Qufaylun

Sources reported the killing of Wasil al-Mohammad and his son Ahmad al-Mohammad on the evening of 26 November 2025 in the town of Qufaylun in the southwestern southern countryside of Hama, after they were subjected to gunfire by armed men riding a motorcycle coming from the village of Aqrab.

According to the reported details, two individuals on a motorcycle arrived at the family’s home and knocked on the door. When the father and son opened it for them, the armed men directly opened fire on them in front of the house. The two victims are from the “Alawite sect.”

Finding the body of the young man Milad Mohammad Khalil in Salhab

On the morning of 25 November 2025, the body of the young man Milad Mohammad Khalil was found killed on the outskirts of the city of Salhab. He was found placed in the rear section of a “van” vehicle on which he used to work.

According to the available information, the victim is a resident of the al-Saqlia area in Salhab and worked in gasoline distribution. He is from the “Alawite sect.” The body was found near a security checkpoint in an area known as al-Qaws.

These two incidents come within a general context in which various Syrian areas are witnessing an escalation in killings, sectarian-motivated violence, and kidnapping operations targeting minorities, following Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s assumption of power.
