On the evening of Wednesday, November 5, 2025, on the road connecting the villages of Faririya and Kafrzeit in the Afrin countryside, northern Syria, the elderly Kurdish man Shukri Ahmad Oso, known as “Abu Abdo,” aged 65 and a resident of Kafrzeit village, was killed under mysterious circumstances.
The incident occurred while the victim was returning from an olive press on his tractor, when unidentified assailants intercepted him and opened fire, resulting in his immediate death. The motives behind the crime remain unclear.
