The body of Mr. Ibrahim Samir Mahmoud (45 years old), a member of the Alawite sect, was found murdered in the Joura al-Shiyah neighborhood of Homs, central Syria. He had been kidnapped on the evening of November 2, 2025, from the Jib al-Jandali – Zaidal Road area while on his way to a bank in the al-Hamidiya neighborhood to carry out a money transfer. This incident comes within a broader context of instability and a rise in sectarian violence and kidnapping crimes targeting minorities in Syria, under the rule of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
