Amjad Rakan Al-Sweid from the Murshidiyya sect was killed by bullets from armed Turkmen militants

The young man, Amjad Rakan Al-Sweid (24 years old) from the Murshidiyya sect, was killed on the morning of September 27 while transporting bread in his car to the residents of his village, Kafr Nan, north of Homs. He was shot by armed Turkmen militants from the neighboring village of Tasnin.

According to local testimonies, armed militants from Tasnin have, over the past years, committed attacks and carried out forced displacement operations against the Alawite residents of the village, in addition to carrying out sectarian-motivated attacks in the surrounding areas.
