Disappearance of Kurdish Citizen Najirvan Mustafa Ibrahim During His Trip to Idlib

On November 5, 2025, the young man Najirvan Mustafa Ibrahim (22 years old), a Kurdish citizen from the city of Amuda in northeastern Syria, disappeared under mysterious circumstances while on his way to the city of Sarmada in Idlib Governorate, northern Syria.

Najirvan, who worked at the “Rezan” Car Sales Office in the village of Al-Jawhariya west of Amuda, left at dawn on Wednesday, November 5, accompanied by two other individuals. At around eight o’clock that same morning, his family received a text message from him stating that unknown individuals had intercepted their route in the Al-Sukhna area of Homs city, robbing them of their belongings. Since that moment, all contact with him has been lost.

This incident comes within a broader context marked by recurring acts of killing, kidnapping, and violations targeting minorities in various regions of Syria, amid the control of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham over power in the country.
