Homes of Kurdish Citizens Looted in the Village of Al-Nayrabiya in Northern Aleppo Countryside

The human rights organization Afrin-Syria reported that four homes belonging to Kurdish citizens in the village of Al-Nayrabiya in the northern Aleppo countryside were looted and stripped of their contents by a commander in the Hamzat Division.

According to a report by the organization, this operation occurred “after the so-called ‘Joint Force’ (Hamzat and Amashat) took control of the Al-Shahba region on December 2, 2023, which led to the forced displacement of thousands of indigenous residents, in addition to displaced persons from Afrin who were residing in the area.”

The report stated that an individual known as Abu Khalaf, a commander in the Hamzat Division who had been residing in the village since late 2024 after its capture, left on Saturday, September 27, “after stealing furniture, doors, windows, and electrical equipment from four homes he had seized.”

The homes belong to: Bashar Abdo, Hussein Muhammad, Abd Hassan, and Khaled Abd.

The organization also quoted local sources as saying that “weapons, including an RBG, Kalashnikovs, an ammunition crate, and four hand grenades, were found inside one of the seized houses,” noting that Abu Khalaf left the village “under mysterious circumstances.”

Aleppo–Deir Hafer Road Closed for Third Day Amid Military Reinforcements

Meanwhile, the Afrin-Syria human rights organization reported that the international Aleppo–Deir Hafer road in the eastern Aleppo countryside remains closed for the third consecutive day. These closures coincide with the arrival of Turkish military reinforcements to the Kuweires airport.

The report also pointed to the arrival of reinforcements from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to the Tishreen Dam, countered by Turkish reinforcements in support of government forces.

The organization added that the Sultan Suleiman Shah Division (Al-Amshat), alongside the Interim Government, continues to “close the road by establishing earthen berms, which has paralyzed civilian movement and completely cut off the road.”

It mentioned that “residents are living in a state of apprehension due to these rapid military movements and mutual reinforcements on the Deir Hafer fronts.”
