Kidnapping of Young Man Mohammad Ismail Abdullah from the Alawite Community in Rural Jableh

On October 19, 2025, the young man Mohammad Ismail Abdullah, a member of the Alawite community residing in the village of Zama in the Jableh countryside of Latakia Governorate, western Syria, went missing.

All contact with him was lost after he left his home on that date without leaving any trace, and no information has been available about his whereabouts since then, suggesting that he may have been abducted.

This incident occurs amid a broader context of security instability in the region, highlighting the risks faced by civilians and the targeting of individuals based on sectarian identity within the ongoing conflict in Syria.
