On November 3, 2025, the young man Ali Mahmoud Deeb died from his injuries after being shot in the village of Dweir Baabda in the Jableh countryside, part of Latakia Governorate.
The victim, Ali Mahmoud Deeb, belonged to the Alawite sect. His home was raided during an operation carried out by General Security Forces affiliated with the Transitional Authority (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham), which is considered responsible for the incident.
This event comes amid a rise in sectarian violence and kidnapping crimes targeting minorities in Syria following Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s takeover of power.
