On November 7, 2025, near the town of Al-Sheikh Badr in the countryside of Tartus Governorate, citizen Nader Ata Saleh (47 years old) was shot near a security checkpoint known as “Kawkab al-Hawa,” which led to his death.
The victim, who belonged to the Alawite sect, was married and the father of two children, and worked as a driver of a private passenger transport car. This incident comes within a broader context marked by recurring cases of kidnapping, violations, and killings targeting minorities in various regions of Syria, under the rule of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in the country.
