On September 28, 2025, the interim authorities in Syria (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) informed the family of the young man Basil Salman, a resident of the Karam Shamshem neighborhood in Homs, that his body had been received at the morgue of Al-Walid Hospital in Homs after he was killed in prison.
