A video clip was published by a member of the Bani Khalid clan showing an armed gathering in the city of Homs in central Syria, while the filmer of the scene threatens to kill the Alawites (their elder and their younger).
The city of Homs witnessed, on November 23, 2025, a wave of armed attacks and assaults that targeted neighborhoods with an Alawite majority, following a murder that occurred on the morning of the same day in the town of Zaydal south of the city. The victims were a Sunni couple belonging to the Bani Khalid tribe – the Al-Nasser clan. The crime scene included phrases of a sectarian nature.
