In a scene that embodies hate speech and incitement to violence, a member of the Interior Ministry of the so-called “Interim Authority” (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) explicitly threatened ethnic and religious groups in Syria. The man, identified as Hussein Ali Al-Hazouri, known as “Abu Al-Alameen,” appeared in a video published on October 18, 2025, alongside another individual known as “Abu Muawiyah,” in the city of Talkalakh in Homs Governorate, vowing threats against Kurds, Alawites, and Druze.
*According to information posted by Hussein Ali Al-Hazouri (Abu Al-Alameen) on a personal Facebook account under his name, he works for the Ministry of Interior affiliated with the Interim Authority.
Earlier this year, in January 2025, Abu Al-Alameen appeared in another video after kidnapping a young man named “Yahya Al-Salki,” an Alawite, in which he filmed himself during the victim’s attempted escape. In the footage, the young man was seen shot in the legs while trying to flee.
In that video, Abu Al-Alameen said:
“Look at this pig, I’m Abu Al-Alameen, I caught him.”
(The word “pig” is a derogatory term commonly used by extremist groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Jabhat al-Nusra to refer to Kurds, Alawites, Christians, and other minorities.)
The victim, Yahya Al-Salki, responded:
“You are the pig.”
His fate remains unknown to this day.
