On the morning of November 1, 2025, contact was lost with Hussein Ahmed Yousef (38 years old) while he was traveling from the city of Jableh in Latakia Governorate toward Tartous. No information has since been received regarding his fate or whereabouts.
The victim, a man from the Alawite sect, is married and the father of three children. This incident occurs amid a broader climate of instability and a rise in sectarian violence and kidnappings targeting minorities in Syria, under the control of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, which currently holds power in the country.
