Gunmen of the temporary authority in Syria, represented by “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham,” committed a brutal and horrific crime by throwing a girl from the top of a building in the predominantly Kurdish Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, northern Syria.
A video clip, published on January 10, 2026, shows the moment the crime was committed, as it was filmed by members affiliated with the temporary authority themselves. In the recording, the voice of the person who documented the incident can be heard making insulting remarks after throwing the girl, saying: “A pig, damn her honor,” in a scene that reflects a dangerous level of violence, incitement, and violation of human dignity, while the identity of the girl is not yet known, nor whether she was injured or deceased at the time she was thrown from the building.

Earlier, “Rights Monitor,” Human Rights Monitor platform in Syria, expressed deep concern over the serious military developments taking place in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, against the backdrop of the ongoing escalation since Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The platform indicated that this escalation took the form of violent and continuous shelling carried out by the forces of the temporary authority represented by “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.”
“Rights Monitor” confirmed that its concerns are intensifying in light of the repeated targeting of “Khaled Fajr” Hospital, which is a civilian medical facility protected under the provisions of international humanitarian law. It noted that the hospital has been subjected in recent days to intense and continuous shelling, which the platform documented with video clips showing fires breaking out and severe damage to its building.
