At dawn on Thursday, November 13, 2025, three armed men stormed the home of citizen Ibrahim Ahmad Yaseen from the “Tutal” family in the village of Maryamin – Sharran subdistrict in Afrin countryside, at around three o’clock in the morning with the aim of robbery. Upon being discovered, they immediately opened fire on his wife, Manal Mahmoud, causing her severe injuries, then they shot Ibrahim Ahmad Yaseen, killing him instantly, before tying up their only child and fleeing.
The wife was transferred to Al-Hakim Hospital and then to Azaz National Hospital, where she is under intensive care. This incident comes in the context of the ongoing cycle of violence in the Afrin area, which includes killings, kidnappings, torture, and the imposition of levies on civilians.
