The Syrian citizen Haitham Abbas Jazza, belonging to the Shiite sect, was killed after being subjected to gunfire on the Syrian–Lebanese border, in an incident that occurred on December 21, 2025, in the countryside of Homs Governorate in western Syria.
According to the available information, the victim hails from the town of Nubl in the northern countryside of Aleppo Governorate. He was killed by gunfire from forces affiliated with the interim authority “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham,” while he was present in the border area between Syria and Lebanon.
Details of the incident indicate that the gunfire occurred during the victim’s attempt to enter Lebanese territory via the countryside of Homs Governorate, leading to his death at the scene.
