A suicide drone belonging to the Transitional Authority forces (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) targeted, in the afternoon of December 25, 2025, the village of al-Durra belonging to Deir Hafir in Aleppo Governorate, located within areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). According to preliminary information, the strike resulted in the killing of a child and the injury of another. The data indicate that the drone was launched from the village of al-Kiyariyah in the southern al-Khafsah countryside.
The victims are: Ghannam Faraj al-Sheikh Ali, a 14-year-old child, who was killed as a result of the strike as shown in the following video, and Nasser al-Khalaf, a 15-year-old child, who was injured by wounds resulting from the same targeting.

The targeting occurred in the afternoon while the victims were present in the village, with no information reported about the presence of military targets at the strike location. The direct strike led to casualties among civilian children.
The village of al-Durra is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces and is subjected to repeated shelling by the Transitional Authority forces. This incident comes in the context of the continuation of military operations using drones in the area and the accompanying grave risks to the lives of civilians, especially children.
