The young man Hussein Rassem Al-Rajo, one of the members of the Alawite sect, was killed in an assault that took place on 13 March 2026 in the Al-Muhajireen neighborhood – Al-Basel suburb in the city of Homs, central Syria, after he was attacked with a piece of glass to the neck, which led to his immediate death.
According to information circulating among residents of the area, the victim, 29 years old, had gone to a commercial shop to demand repayment of a financial debt owed to him by several individuals. During the discussion that arose between them, the dispute escalated into a physical assault, during which he was stabbed in the neck with a piece of glass, resulting in his death at the scene of the incident.
According to the available information, Hussein Rassem Al-Rajo was employed by the Syrian Petroleum Company, and he had also worked in an electrical appliances shop in the city of Homs.
