Citizen Saleh Ibrahim, a member of the Alawite community, was killed and another civilian was seriously injured following an armed attack that targeted them in front of a commercial shop in the predominantly Alawite village of Al-Khandaq, located in the Sahl al-Ghab area of the Hama governorate countryside, on the evening of Monday, June 22, 2026.
According to available information, two armed individuals riding a motorcycle opened fire at the two victims in front of a commercial shop in the village. This led to the immediate death of Saleh Ibrahim and left another person with injuries described as critical.
