“Rights Monitor Syria” has documented a report regarding the loss of contact with Ms. Rawaa Saleh Khaddour, known as “Umm Mohsen,” aged 49, since Thursday, July 16, 2026, amid fears from her family that she may have been kidnapped in the city of Homs.
According to information obtained by “Rights Monitor Syria,” contact with Ms. Rawaa Saleh Khaddour was lost while she was near the Northern Bus Terminal (Al-Karaj Al-Shamali) in the city of Homs. Her family has been unable to communicate with her since that date, while the circumstances of her disappearance and her fate remain unknown as of the time of writing this report.
Ms. Rawaa Saleh Khaddour hails from the village of Hadidah in the Homs countryside and belongs to the Alawite community.
The family of the woman has issued a public appeal for assistance in finding her, calling upon anyone who possesses any information—no matter how minor it may seem—regarding her whereabouts or the circumstances of her disappearance, to contact them via the numbers they have published, in the hope of helping to uncover her fate.
“Rights Monitor Syria” stresses that the continuation of cases of disappearance and missing persons raises serious concerns regarding the safety of the missing individuals. It necessitates urgent and transparent investigations to reveal their fate, guarantee the right of their families to know the truth, and hold accountable those responsible for any violations that may have been committed against them.
